Type of data collected

Contact Information

SUSD provides DMPTO with a list of parent contacts at the beginning of each school year. Through Membership Tool Kit, we collect additional information about parents and students that are provided by those families who wish to create an account. Data collected includes name, address, phone number, email address, and students' grade level. Additional information is collected on an as-needed basis when members opt in. Sponsors provide social media handles, text, and images for promotional purposes. Volunteers provide their areas of interest and/or expertise.

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your hard drive and are not stored or tracked by DMPTO in any way. These cookies are used to improve website functionality (for example, to remember that you are logged in).

Data collected is processed by Membership Toolkit and stored and secured on servers managed by Membership Toolkit. Their data centers are protected with 24-hour security, redundancy, and backup power. Click HERE to read the Membership Toolkit Privacy Policy.

Correction, Updates, and Questions

This website functions as a self-service website. Any information you wish to change about your personal data can be accessed by logging in to your account. In the event of any difficulties or questions, you can contact us at communications@dmpto.org. 

Analytics

At this time, we do not utilize Google analytics to track behavior on this website. We do, however, include the Google Translate option on our website, for visitors to translate the content to the language of their choice.  As a result, Google may use cookies and share usage data. To review Google's privacy policy please click here. To opt out of Google Analytics you can install a browser add-on by clicking here. These preferences are managed and stored by Google.

Who We Share Your Data With

Families who opt into directory inclusion permit other members to see their home address, phone number, email address, or student names in the PTO directory. Each of these fields can be included or excluded from the school directory and is completely at the discretion of the family member who created the account. If you would like to add or remove data from the directory, it can be done at any time through the directory settings in your account. The identity of members and/or their children is only shared with other volunteers who may need it to help with an event, or with external event venues who need it (such as project graduation locations).  

Credit Card Data

Payments made on this website are managed by LumaPay, owned by Stripe. You can find the Stripe privacy policy here, and the LumaPay privacy policy here. Transactions made on this website are encrypted, and DMPTO has no access to your credit card information.

Your Data Rights

If you have an account on this site, you may request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, financial, legal, or security purposes.
